What is it with people like Guevara, Castro, Chávez, Marx, Lenin and Mao that makes them culturally accepted. With a combined death toll 25 times higher than Hitler (derived from the most conservative numbers) it is in the year 2018 still socially accepted to rock the communist flag.
I know, I know Communism has NEVER been implemented succesfully and therefor never tried,… yet the ones that commited the greatest atrocities under it’s banner are still heralded as heroes. Think about it,… does that make any sense?
After the whole self immolations scandal surrounding the Dalai Lama it comes as no surprise to me this man self identifies as a Marxist. His reasons the increasing gap in wealth between rich and poor. And of course,… compared to communist countries he is absolutely right. The gap between rich and poor is a lot smaller if everyone is poor.
This brings me to the core problem with marxism; Sociology teaches that bourgeoisie (the rich) are only rich by extorting the proletariat (working class). It expresses the urge for every single person to grow in wealth in the same exact rate. If you earn more you can ONLY do so by extorting the working class (not by making more hours, or taking risks and or making expenses to start your own business) and therefor you should be held back at minimum and sent to the gulag in the worst systems. It is exactly this system that will make sure no one will ever risk their neck in starting an innovative company that would benefit the whole. Nor will workers put in their best effort,… if everyone gets the same regardless the one that puts in the least effort gets paid best relatively.
